• 400 g (14 oz) canned tomatoes (crushed or purée)
• 2 tbsp tomato paste
• 1 cup beef stock (or water)
• 1 tsp dried oregano or Italian herbs
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• Salt & pepper, to taste
For the Béchamel Sauce :
• 50 g (3 tbsp) butter
• 50 g (1/3 cup) flour
• 600 ml (2 ½ cups) milk, warmed
• A pinch of nutmeg
• Salt & pepper, to taste
For Assembly :
• 250 g (9 oz) lasagna sheets (fresh or dry, no-boil if possible)
• 200 g (2 cups) grated mozzarella
• 50 g (½ cup) grated Parmesan cheese
How to Make Lasagna alla Bolognese (Step-by-Step) :
♡ Step 1 – Make the Bolognese Sauce :
Heat olive oil in a pan. Sauté onion, carrot, celery, and garlic until soft.
Add ground meat, cook until browned.
Stir in tomato paste, canned tomatoes, and beef stock.
Season with oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer on low for 1–1.5 hours until rich and thick.
