How to Make Christmas Roast Turkey (Step-by-Step)
♡ Step 1 – Prepare the Turkey :
Preheat your oven to 180°C / 350°F.
Remove packaging, then pat the turkey dry with paper towels.
This helps achieve a beautifully golden skin.
♡ Step 2 – Make the Herb Butter :
In a bowl, mix:
• softened butter
• garlic
• chopped thyme & rosemary
• salt and pepper
Gently loosen the skin of the turkey and rub the butter underneath and all over the outside.
This keeps the meat juicy and deeply flavorful.
♡ Step 3 – Stuff & Roast :
Place the onion and lemon halves inside the turkey cavity.
Put the turkey on a roasting rack or in a large baking dish.
Roast for 2h30 to 3h, basting every 30 minutes with pan juices.
✨ Tip: If the skin browns too fast, loosely cover with foil.
♡ Step 4 – Rest & Serve :
Once cooked, remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.
This step is essential to keep all the juices inside.
Serve warm, surrounded by love and holiday sides 🤍
